About Me:

A friend invited me here and I'm glad to find the place. I like how this site and the people who are on it are unabashedly taking on big issues (how much bigger than “Changing the World” do aspriations get?). When I first started trying to come up with something to put here I wasn't sure I had anything to offer along those lines.

Then I thought about what change I've made in myself over the years and how that alone has made a big difference around me.  I also came across this quote, which fits here:
—————————————
“Boldly stated, massage therapists are working on a unique aspect of the environmental cause, literally reforming the inner environment through which we perceive ourselves, others, and our relation to the world …  During bodywork, we are therapists of the larger body of life.”
  - Thomas W. Meyers, “Massage Magazine” guest editorial, March/April 1997
—————————————

As for my music affecting the world positively, I know that it can. I haven't done much with my music yet know that when the time is right I will get it out there and appreciate what ripples it creates.

I gave myself the title of 'Chief Happiness Officer' because I recently attended a workshop titled “Work at What You Love” (see changingcourse.com if you are interested in it) and during the workshop we defined what we wanted out of life.

Part of that definition was what we wanted in our work environment and in coming up with a title I thought of what we need more of and have too little of in work cultures: happiness. That's what I want in my work environment and I will be responsible for creating it.

I have a lateral transfer to Chief Lightness Officer as a possible move later in my career. ;-)

I'm done with massage school and am finishing up my practice hours. I hope to take the national certification exam soon.

Oh, I chose to 'show my Chinese Sign' because I have no knowledge of the Chinese Zodiac. I still don't. 'Earth Boar'. Hmmm. At least it's not 'Earth Bore.' :-)
